Two restaurants now open with ordering kiosks, table delivery and curbside pick-up
Jacksonville, N.C. (April 16, 2018)– McDonald’s customers in Jacksonville can now experience fast food of the future at two locations. Local McDonald’s franchise, Dixon Foods Group, is debuting the first two “Experience of the Future” remodels at its Lejeune Boulevard and Western Boulevard locations.
Inside the restaurants, digital kiosks that will offer customers a new kind of ordering experience. The technology will allow guests to skip lines, customize their orders and view dietary information about the menu items.
Customers will also enjoy a new full table service experience, with McDonald’s crew members delivering meals right to their seats. Table locators installed in the ceiling will help guide crew members to the right customer.
When customers are in a hurry, they can now order ahead on McDonald’s mobile app using the new order and pay feature. With just a few clicks, crew members can have their meals ready and delivered curb-side once the customer arrives for pick up.
“We’re excited to unveil these “Experience of the Future” updates and are thrilled that they will provide an improved, overall experience for our guests by making it easier to order and enjoy their meals,” said Wade Dixon, local Owner/Operator and President of Dixon Foods Group, Inc.
Two other Dixon Foods Group locations in Jacksonville are also undergoing renovations and upgrades, the North Marine Boulevard and South Marine Boulevard restaurants. Those renovations are scheduled to be complete by the beginning of May, leaving only three additional restaurants in the Jacksonville area to be renovated.
The Lejeune Boulevard restaurant will also include a Veterans Memorial that will pay tribute to those who served in our military and live and work in the local community. The South Marine location will feature a Jacksonville riverfront graphic wall, showcasing a beautiful piece of the city’s history.
